International fashion designers headline Saudi Arabia’s first Fashion Futures event

  • Designers, entrepreneurs and global fashion heavyweights descend on Riyadh today for the country’s flagship fashion event, Fashion Futures.
  • Model Halima Aden, designer Giles Deacon and Wil Beedle, Creative Director at All Saints will take part in the event.
  • The event is part of concerted efforts to unlock the potential of the nascent fashion industry in the Kingdom.

Riyadh, 4 November 2019 

Leading fashion designers, creatives and industry insiders from across the fashion world will visit Riyadh this week for Fashion Futures. The initiative, the first of its kind in the Kingdom, will provide a platform for discussions around the future of the fast-growing sector in the rapidly changing country.

Homegrown Saudi talent, many recent graduates from the world’s top fashion institutions, will engage with speakers from around the world on topics ranging from branding to sustainable manufacturing. The event will also feature label showcases from local designers.

Hayat Osamah, fashion photographer from Saudi Arabia who has worked on campaigns for Farfetch and Diesel and GQ said: “I think fashion is an exceptionally diverse platform for so many people and it has such an immense history, which what Fashion Futures is introducing today. it is the gate that will open the opportunities to many talents here in Saudi Arabia to exchange and learn from international fashion professionals.”
